At Expo 2025 Osaka, our video production team had the unique opportunity to provide high-quality audio and multi-camera coverage of two classical music concerts held at the Italian Pavilion. These live performances required not only precision and artistry, but also logistical resilience under strict access and equipment constraints.
🎶 The Challenge: Filming in a High-Security Environment
Filming inside a world exposition venue like Expo 2025 brings unique challenges:
- Equipment restrictions at entry
- Limited pre-production time
- Communication across multiple international teams
- No dedicated PA system, requiring our own audio capture solution
Despite these hurdles, we delivered full concert documentation without disruption, thanks to a well-coordinated team and a careful setup plan.
🎬 Multi-Camera Setup: 4 Angles, Seamless Coverage
We utilized a four-camera setup for comprehensive coverage:
- Main Wide Camera: A central fixed angle capturing the full stage.
- Telephoto Camera: For expressive close-ups of performers and conductor.
- Side Camera: A dynamic second telephoto angle for added depth.
- Gimbal Camera: Fluid movement shots that brought cinematic value.
This combination ensured not only visual clarity, but also an immersive narrative.
🎧 Audio Recording: Capturing Every Note
Since no PA system was used during the concerts, capturing clean and direct audio became essential. Our team deployed professional field recorders and microphones positioned discreetly near the orchestra, ensuring that every nuance was preserved.
The result was a high-fidelity audio recording that requires minimal post-processing—a valuable asset for archival, broadcasting, or promotional purposes.
